Cancer is the most dreaded disease which claims millions of lives every year. Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer that affects women. Women who have hit menopause are more inclined to develop breast cancer, though it may also occur in younger women and sometimes, very rarely in men.
The most common symptom of breast cancer is development of lumps or thickening in the breast tissue. Breast cancer can be completely cured if it’s detected at an early stage. Women over the age of 40 should self-examine their breasts regularly to check for any abnormal swellings or dimples in their breast. Women who have higher risk of developing breast cancer should undergo regular screening tests to detect breast cancer at an early stage. As with any disease, prevention is always better than cure.
